As we all know, everyday life can get busy, stressful and overwhelming. In this modern world, we have limited space and time to rest. There are many roles and responsibilities we have juggling work, family and other commitments. Inner peace can seem like something reserved for a monk sitting crossed-legged on top of a mountain. The truth is that our authentic nature is quiet and serene. We all have the ability to access tranquility and calm. All we need to do is apply ourselves.
In this retreat, we will take care of you so that you are free to relax, restore and reconnect with yourself. This all-inclusive 7-day yoga retreat is all about you listening to your own needs, giving yourself time to relax, restoring and switching off from your everyday norm.
You will have the opportunity to deepen your yoga practice, relax and chill, be part of an amazing community of like-minded people, eat the most delicious food from the onsite organic café and enjoy a full range of body therapy and beauty treatments from the onsite spa.
Join Anne Pauline, your yoga teacher for a trip of a lifetime in Bali. Also known as the Land of the Gods, Bali appeals through its sheer natural beauty of looming volcanoes and lush terraced rice fields that exude peace and serenity. It is also famous as a surfer’s paradise! Bali enchants with its dramatic dances and colorful ceremonies, its arts and crafts.
This yoga retreat will take place in Ubud, located in the central part of Bali Island. The name Ubud comes from the Balinese word Ubud that means medicine, inspired by the abundance of medicinal plants and herbs in this region. Steeped in culture and enhanced by magnificent vistas, Ubud offers a respite from the humdrum of your busy life. Ubud pampers visitors in body and soul.
The Shala Bali is situated a straight forward 1.5-hour drive from the international airport of Bali, walking distance to Ubud town centre and perfectly situated amongst the peace and quiet of the rice fields.
During the retreat we will explore a large spectrum of yoga practices. Starting each day by some pranayama/breath and meditation techniques with the sunrise to transform your first energy of the day into a sacred moment with yourself. A dynamic Vinyasa Yoga class will follow to energize and wake up your body. And we will end each beautiful day by a Yin Yoga class to help you wind down, creating harmony and balance within your body and mind.
Two workshops will be part of the adventure to dive deeper into some aspect of your practice and learn some new skills.
48 hours of Mauna, the noble silence is scheduled. This develops will-force, curbs the impulse of speech and gives peace of mind.
Don’t worry, nothing is ever compulsory, take from the retreat what you need, this is your time to relax, unwind and reconnect to yourself.
The various classes will take place in a beautiful wooden space overlooking the rice fields and coconut palm views. It contains all the props necessary for your practice.
THE SHALA BALI
The Shala Bali is located in a picturesque village area of Ubud, Bali approximately 20 minutes’ walk to Ubud town centre. Surrounding by rice paddies, the Shala Bali was lovingly created as a wellness sanctuary to reconnect with our essence and realign with nature.
With its 20-meter salt water swimming pool overlooking the jungle and its Ayurvedic Spa surrounded by lush gardens and flowing water, each area of the property is a sanctuary to relax, contemplate and immerse in nature.
The Shala Bali rooms are all beautiful and designed to invite in the natural surroundings. All rooms have their own bathroom and are unique. Some smaller and some bigger, some have a rice fields view and others a garden view.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served either at The Shala Cafe located in the villas compound or at the Mumbai Station Indian Cafe located a few minutes stroll from The Shala Bali.
You will be nourished by vibrant, tasty international and local cuisine, juices, smoothies and sweets. These two cafes source the highest quality organic, non-GMO ingredients from all over Bali to ensure their dishes are nutrient rich and delicious. They follow the principles of Ahimsa; serving vegetarian and vegan food only and their kitchen team is experienced in catering for all dietary needs. The meals are lovingly prepared and delicious.
MEET ANNE PAULINE
With over 800 hours of yoga teacher training, and over 2 000 hours of teaching, Anne Pauline will deliver an incredible experience for you to deepen your yoga practice.
Originally from France, Anne Pauline began practicing yoga in 2009 when she needed to find balance and inner calm while working in the marketing field in Paris. Yoga helped her to alleviate the stresses caused by her occupation and lifestyle. And what began as an occasional practice became her relaxation pursuit which provided her with much-needed space to focus inwards and forget about the outside stressful world.
She quit her corporate job and chose to become a yoga teacher in 2013 to help students to stay connected to their true selves, bodies and minds.
She now lives in Christchurch, New Zealand where she teaches full time yoga.
You can expect her classes to be powerful and challenging yet gentle and compassionate with your body. Her classes are appropriate for beginners as well as those with an ongoing practice.
Don’t be nervous or shy about coming alone
– most people on retreats are solo travelers. You will have the opportunity
to be part of an amazing community of like-minded people.
One of the best bits of any retreat is walking away with so many new friends.

RESERVATION POLICY &
Reservation & payment policy
A USD 500 deposit is required to secure your space.
You can pay in 1, 2 (over 2 months) or 3 (over 3 months) times the total amount of the yoga retreat.
All deposits are non-refundable and due upon sign-up.
Payment is made online via Stripe. If you have any question, feel free to email me at email@example.com.
All bookings are on first-come, first-serve basis.
Anne Po Yoga is not responsible for any lost, stolen or missing items.
If you cancel anytime before June 1st, payment will be reimbursed except for the deposit. There will also be a USD 100 fee applied for cancellation. All deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel anytime between June 1st and June 30th, you will receive 50% of your payment.
Cancellations after June 30th are non-refundable.
Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer credit for a guest arriving late or leaving early.
In the event that the instructor cancels the retreat, all payment you have made through our booking platform will be reimbursed. Please note that any additional costs will NOT be reimbursed: travel costs, flights, additional accommodation.
Travel insurance is required for all international yoga retreats.
Many policies will help cover theft, travel delays, and evacuation should you need it. It may also protect you in case of trip cancellation due to illness or death of a family member.
Travel in Bali it is free for more than 160 countries. You get a Free Visa Stamp for MAX. 30 days, with NO extension possible, the purpose of visit: Tourism & Social Visit only.
If you want to stay more than 30 days, a visa is required, please consult with your embassy.
Make sure to get a 6 months validity on your passport from the date of arrival in Bali.

1. HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS DO YOU HAVE IN A GROUP?
We keep the groups small - typically 10-15 participants. We believe that this way we can offer our guests so much more attention and a possibility to really grow and evolve in their practice during the retreat.
2. WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE/DEPART?
The approximate times are always in the retreat description, and the specific information is sent out by email as a welcome letter upon registration.
3. IS IT POSSIBLE TO SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON TO ASK MY QUESTIONS?
Absolutely yes! Please send me a message (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we'll schedule a call and answer all your retreat related questions.
4. WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY RETREAT?
A full list of things to bring will be sent to you as a part of your welcome letter.
5. WHAT KIND OF FOOD CAN I EXPECT AND CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?
You can expect delicious vegetarian cuisine at our retreats.
We will provide all meals during your trip (2-3 daily). Please let us know as soon as you sign up for the trip or before you sign up if you have any special needs; food allergies or other allergies, or any other special needs or conditions, dietary or medical.
6. CAN I BRING A NON-PARTICIPATING PARTNER/FRIEND/SPOUSE?
Generally, we can only accept participating guests.
7. I'M A BEGINNER - CAN I JOIN?
Yes, this retreat is designed for all levels including beginners.
8. WHAT IS A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS FOR THE RETREAT TO TAKE PLACE?
Our minimum number of participants is 5.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION POLICIES?

10. DO I NEED TO BOOK MY OWN TRANSPORTATION TO BALI?
You are responsible for booking your own transportation.
We suggest arriving between 12pm to 2pm on Monday to get settled before the retreat starts at 4pm. On Sunday, plan your flight with enough time after our 10:00am breakfast and check out at 11am.
11. WHERE IS THE RETREAT CENTRE LOCATED AND HOW DO I GET THERE FROM THE AIRPORT?
The Shala Bali is located a straight forward 1.5-hour drive from the international airport of Bali, walking distance to Ubud town centre. You will receive exact directions. Airport transfer is included and we can help set up shared rides among guests.
12. CAN I ARRIVE EARLY TO THE RETREAT AND STAY LATE?
There is not usually availability on either side of the retreat, but please inquire if interested.
13. IF I SIGN ALONE, HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE ROOMMATES?
We’ll set you up with a roommate if you select a shared rooming option.
14. HOW MUCH FREE TIME DO WE HAVE?
We have a healthy balance of group time, yoga, optional activities, and down time. You can always decide to take down time or go on a run.
15. WHAT LEVEL YOGA WILL THERE BE AND HOW OFTEN?
Yoga classes will be 2 times daily and all levels. Anne Pauline is used to teach all levels classes and good at creating classes that are both suitable for beginners and challenging for the more experienced!
